Alzheimer’s $1k Karma Cupcakes Deliver

Atlanta, GA — September 10, 2010 — The Alzheimer’s Association raised more than $20,000 at a community bake sale in an effort to defray the costs of stolen items from a break-in on August 19th at their Georgia Chapter Headquarters. Community support and local bakeries were more than gracious with contributions and support. Baked goods were delivered to the headquarters all day Wednesday in preparation. Staff and volunteers came together to make homemade baked goods. Jim Callahan, Chief Operating Officer from Ackerman Security System donated a security system and said “When Ackerman heard about the break-in and was asked to assist, our core belief of giving back to the community in which we do business made the decision to donate a system an easy one”.
