Alzheimer's Headquarters Break-In: 20+ Computers Stolen

The Alzheimer’s Association Georgia Chapter’s principal means of providing care and support to Georgians has been disrupted.

Atlanta, GA — August 20, 2010 — The Alzheimer’s Association state and Atlanta headquarters were broken into on Thursday night resulting in the loss of 20+ computers and monitors. Consequently, the majority of the staff was sent home to work in an effort to maintain aid to the more than 200,000 Georgians currently living with the disease. Burglars broke into the Chapter headquarters, located on Century Boulevard in Atlanta, during the night. The break-in was not discovered until early Friday morning. Police were on the scene early this morning to investigate, and the investigation continues. The Alzheimer’s Association depends on individual contributions to fund its' mission.
